Do you want to be a VR champion? Students who show special commitment have been appointed to this role. It involves making the VR suite a welcoming place where people can learn more about the technology. Training is essential, as the VR champions are responsible for keeping the people and equipment safe.
Student involvement has been key to the success of virtual reality on campus so far, with Harry, Jake, Charlie, Jacob and Hannah among the key early adopters. This week the first whole class came to visit the VR suite. Mr Smyllie’s year 7 PE class from Banbury Academy used the Virtual Reality suite to explore the idea that computer games could offer an alternative to outdoor PE lessons. As well as trying high-intensity games like Fruit Ninja, the students discussed whether games are making us fitter or fatter.
